Vocal Communities was honoured to be part of a Youth Day led by Councillor Rosa Gomez and attended by several councillors from the London Borough of Redbridge. We joined musicians, speakers and activists to listen, engage and promote the concerns of young people who aim to better their communities.
We led a panel discussion asking young people about their views on education and mental health and how they’ve been affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The young members of the audience provided an insightful perspective about their experiences and panel members opened up about their experiences with education, mental health and their careers. Parents, guardians and teachers were also present to listen to the different perspectives to build better approaches to engaging with our youth.
