Vocal Communities collaborated with the Young Brent Foundation and Brent Council as part of the Google Summer Series 2022. Participants on the programme were aged between 12-25 and took part in a week of brilliant workshops focused on creativity, technology, engineering, careers and problem solving.
Workshops included;
An introduction to Google and what they do as a company. We even got a sneak peak at some of their unreleased products!
-An introduction to technical writing. The young people were set a task that had never been done with under 18’s before and they absolutely smashed it!
-A creative workshop led by @comicmaniakids in which our learn people learned about the comic industry and got the opportunity to make their own comic
-A STEM workshop led by @ri_science the attendees got to take part in various tasks and experiments
-A tour of the Google office.
-A panel from experts across the music and media industry.
-A ‘Googler careers speed dating’ session in which our young people got to meet a range of Google employees from all different areas of the company and ask them questions about their job-.
